More Details

Sacraments in Scripture: Salvation History Made Present is a Bible study on the seven sacraments, prefigured in the Old Testament and instituted by Jesus Christ in the New.

Following the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the Catechism of the Catholic Church on Sacred Scripture, Tim Gray delves into the biblical origin for each of these masterpieces of God’s love. In this Scripture study, Tim Gray guides readers through the Gospels, showing Christ’s deliberate acts to inaugurate these sacred signs as the foundation of the New Covenant. With review questions at the end of each chapter, this study is ideal for both group and individual study, and is perfect for learning how to answer contemporary objections to the sacraments.

Dr. Tim Gray is the President of the Augustine Institute, an MA program in Sacred Scripture and Evangelization & Catechesis in Denver. He is also Professor of Sacred Scripture at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD in Biblical Studies from Catholic University of America, a Th.M. in Scripture from Duke University, and an M.A. in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. A nationally renowned speaker, Dr. Gray has filmed numerous series for EWTN. He is a partner with Jeff Cavins in The Great Adventure Bible Timeline Catholic Bible study series. Dr. Gray resides in Littleton, Colorado with his wife, Kris, and their son Joseph.
