Martin was raised Catholic, but drifted out of the Church during high school. Through Evangelical Protestant friends, he underwent a conversion while in college. His study of the Bible led to the discovery that the true "Bible Church" is the Church of the Bible: the Roman Catholic Church.

Curtis Martin is the founder and director of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) and the founder of Emmaus Road Publishing. He has been a featured guest on EWTN programs including "Mother Angelica Live," "Life on the Rock," and "The Journey Home." He has written for Lay Witness, Catholic Dossier, Envoy, and New Covenant. Martin is a popular speaker at men's conferences and at Marian and Eucharistic Congresses.
