About Us

Emmaus Road Publishing (ERP), the publishing division of Catholics United for the Faith (CUF), furthers CUF's mission of supporting, defending, and advancing the efforts of the teaching Church. Following Pope John Paul II's apostolic letter Novo Millennio Ineunte, the teaching Church's authoritative guidance for the Church today, ERP publishes books and tapes that draw people to contemplate the face of Our Lord Jesus Christ (nos. 16-28), thus promoting growth in holiness (nos. 29-41) and strengthening the bonds of ecclesial communion (nos. 42-57).

ERP takes its name from the encounter of Our Lord with two disciples on the first Easter Sunday (Lk. 24:13-35). ERP desires that its readers and listeners experience the life-giving power of God's Word in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition as interpreted by the Church's Magisterium. Having encountered the Word of God in this way, the men and women of our day will meet Jesus Christ in prayer and the sacraments and be equipped to spread the Gospel through evangelization and impart solid Catholic doctrine through catechesis.

ERP entrusts itself to the intercession of Our Lady, Star of the New Evangelization, and Saint John the Apostle, patron of publishers.
